OK, here goes.
The link below takes you to the very page where I found the complete text for "Self Help" by Samuel Smiles.
Remember, this is the complete unedited text in one big file (one BIG file!).
What I have done is edit all this down to one easily readable book, that keeps all of the vital messages but is more relevant to the current day (the book was first published in 1859 after all!).
Here's the link, to Project Gutenberg which does wonderful work getting old books transcribed and onto the Internet:

Have a quick look, and imagine it all in one handy, easy to digest ebook!
I have to say, I didn't read it all from that screen (I think that would've driven me crazy!), I went and hunted out a copy of the book (unfortunately my website didn't exist at the time!).
I really wish I could have read an edited version first, instead of the full version, which can be a little cumbersome if you jump straight in.
Either way, whether you read from top to bottom the book from the link above, or download the specially edited version here, I hope you read it and experience just what I and many others before have.
